Where do you like to vacation and why?
My favorite (mini) vacations are just staying in hotels. lol I love staying in hotels, not having to make the bed, not much to do just going to the pool, hot tubs etc. Just hanging out. No cooking, cleaning or phones (well there is a phone but not many people call when I'm gone) Doesn't matter where I go (which hotel which city). Now the little hotel getaways are tied with any lake. I love being at the lake... swimming, bonfires, watching the sun set, even fishing. My favorite time is in the morning before people are up and about, sitting on the dock, looking at the lake drinking my coffee and listening to the loons. I've enjoyed New York and Vegas even California, but those kinds of vacations are always hustle and chaos. I love the peacefulness camping much better. I don't feel like I need a vacation after getting back.

Both Vacations are nice, camping or hotels. The nessescity has to be a pool or a lake to swim in. Sightseeing is nice, but you have to have down time to be able to lounge............. Some of my favorite places:

Oh my! It's been a long time since I took a vacation but I do have fond memories of being at Ocean City in NJ. The thing that struck me the most was that people just had to walk a block to the beach! Me being a city person couldn't believe it! One of my dreams though is to have my own beach house. I just love being near the ocean and listening to the sound of the waves. I'm also a big seafood nut as well!

I love to travel. I love to revisit some of the places where I've been before, but more than that, I want to see things I've never seen either.
I think one of my best vacations was the last we took. We went back to Pennsylvania where my husband's family is from for a family reunion. From there we went to Gettysburg and then to Hershey. Even though I'm a chocoholic, big time, I'm also a history fanatic. I enjoyed the trip through the Gettysburg battlefields so much. That night we took a ghost walk. Now that was fun!

My favorite is Cannon Beach Oregon. But I also love the coast of MA and ME.
I also like to go to new places but we seem to end up visiting my family - either in OR (prefered) or Iowa (not prefered!).

I HAVE BEEN TO HAWAII, AMSTERDAM, VANCOVER, LAS VEGAS, TAHOE, ASPEN, VAIL, FLA. LA. PA. PARIS FRANCE, CRUSIES. BAHAMAS, TN. AK. MS. TAKEN A PADDLE WHEEL BOAT DOWN THE MS RIVER, AND I MUST SAY HAWAII IS MY FAVORITE. IT SMELLS BEAUTIFUL WITH FLOWERS ALL IN THE AIR, A CONSTANT BREEZE, THE WATER IS SO MANY BEAUTIFUL BLUES, THE RAINBOWS AND THE COUNTRY SIDE IS BREATH TAKING, MOUNTAINS, VALLEYS, VALCANOS, WATER FALLS UNBELIEVABLE. THE PEOPLE ARE SO FREINDLY. SO MUCH TO BE SAID AND SENSES TO BE FILLLED IN HAWAII. I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE AN ALASKAN CRUISE AND A AFRICAN SAFAI NOW.

I'd love to vacation in China again or Europe. CHina because i was born there and most of my family's still there...Europe because i'd love to try to food and sightsee the "streets" of Venice. Just back from a very long business trip and getting ready for another one so here's my vacation entry and I'll try to get a few more done be for I depart again
I love camping. We usually camp near the ocean on our vacation. A secluded compsite by the ocean is my idea of paradise. I don't like the large campgrounds with sites for r.v.'s and running water because they're always so crowded and noisy. We go to a lot of hike-in compgrounds and sometimes we're the only people for miles around. The only piece of civilization I miss on those trips is the toilet! It's worth it for the peace and solitude though.
