Question 37 ~ smells

What are some of your favorite smells?

PreviewMy three favorite smells are lilacs, fresh coffee (heck even the coffee isle in the store) and vanilla.  Other smells I like are fresh cut grass, cotton candy, clean sheets that were hung outside, spring mornings (this morning smelled so good!).  My ex... he smelled like home.  I'm sure there are other smells that I like but these are the ones on the top of my head!  Especially the coffee! Buttermilk biscuits fresh from the oven, strong coffee brewing outdoors, roses, honeysuckle, lilacs, peonies, Old Spice, cinnamon, laundry dried on the line, lavender (real lavender, not the stuff Bath & Body Works thinks lavender should smell like), gasoline (I never said I was normal - and I don't seek these things out for a buzz, I just like the smell of it as I'm pumping it into my car), Love's Baby Soft (remember that?), hyacinths, burning leaves in fall, chocolate.  I've also been known to sniff the little bottle of vanilla extract, but I don't care for vanilla candles or lotions.  Oh, and foods cooked outdoors.  Now I'm hungry!  Gee thanks!  Sheila

Coffee in the morning, and bacon frying on the stove.  Fresh baked bread, and popcorn!  I love the smell of babies after a bath, the smell of a fire in the fireplace on a cold night, and the smell of rain as it hits the ground.  Oh.... and the pine forest high in the mountains, the ocean breeze... I could go on forever.  An orange as you break the peel, maile (mountain laurel) and Old Spice (my dad's cologne)... Oh, and Hoppes No. 9 bore cleaner!  And gas.... (car gas, not butt gas!)

The Smell Of Success..................
Which is really hard to smell because it is oder less .
But sometimes I get a chance to smell it with my eyes, like when the children come home with good grades, and you see the children working together as a
team. Thats the smell of success.

I love camping, and I love the smell of a campfire. I love the smell of good cooking. I think one of my absolute favorite smells is that of a local bakery where I used to work. It was wonderful because the smells transferred to my clothing. My winter coat smelled like sugar and butter and all kinds of good things. It was better than most colognes.

I like to smell lavender, jasmine, vanilla, cinnamon, honeysuckle, and stargazer lilies.  I also like to smell my husband when I hug him -- must be the pheromones! LOL   : )

I have a really good friend who makes and sales candles and they are wonderful.  You can actually smell them when you burn them but out of about the 50 different scents my favorites are Creme Brulee,  Muscadine, Jasmine, Banana Nutbread, Pineapple Upsidedown Cake, Warm Vanilla Sugar and lots of others. As far as say perfume goes, I love Rapture by Victoria Secrets.
