Do you speak any other languages? What are they? Have you ever taken classes to try to learn another language?
I really can't speak any other language, I took Spanish & French. I took spanish for two years. French I left the class with in two weeks. I don't know ANY French, and hardly remember any Spanish. I guess English is just good enough for me. Maybe some day I'll take another class to "relearn" spanish. We have a lot of spanish speaking people that come into were I work (at least I think I still work there!) it would be nice to be able to talk to them and not have to guess what they are saying.
Hablare quiza algun dia solamenta haha espanola!
(maybe someday I will only speak spanish HAHA)

I took 2 years of French in Jr. High and 1 lousy year of it in High School before giving it up. What I would really like to learn is German since, through my genealogy studies, my ancestors were German Mennonites. As of my grandfather, he was the last one to speak German in the family and didn't pass it down. You have to know though, my family came to this country in 1690 and the German has been in the family for that long!!! As for Spanish, I can't post in a public forum what I know in Spanish. Sheila
I never took any spech classes, Although I do know a little French (from a friend who studied and taught French, i picked up words from her ) I've been thinking of actually taking a class now though (to learn Spanish) because it seems like if you are bi-lingual, there are more job opportunities.

The only other language I speak is gibberish, and as little pig latin, come to think of it!

I have learned to speak a little german, irish (??), and spanish.
I never quite got the hang of them.
The one language that I have mastered, is the language of love.
Or rather how to speak to someones heart.
I spend most of time listening to others, and I learn from that.
I care a great deal about people. And I try to let them know that.
So when I connect with certain people, we do not even have to look at one
another to know whats in our hearts. We do not have to be together in the same
place. I can just wake up, and I have a sense of how they are feeling.
I have spent some time as a greif conselor. And I find it rewarding.
The lanquage of the heart/love is the language of people.
And there is no greater asset in the world than people.
So we must invest in them.
Just as in our relationships, we must invest time in our freinds.
And we do that by speaking their language.
Thanks .... I have been working so hard, and I forgot to do the entry about my first question....so sorry! I will get right on it. :)

I learned some French at school but dropped the subject after 3yrs. I have always regretted it too. I was surprised though, while on holiday in the South of France , that I still remembered a lot of what I had learnt and it helped a great deal. Sandra x
I do good to speak english...lol
I took French for two years in Jr. High, and one year in High School. I learned a little in JH, but we had to much fun kidding around with our french teacher in High School. I wish I had learned more, because I had started thinking in French, translating what I read and heard into French in my head. Now, my mind is full of so many cobwebs, I do good just to talk!! lol
Well, I can read Spanish and we are currently studying it in our homeschool. We also are learning Sign. I can understand some Japanese.
i speak french- i took it for all 4 years of high school and then was fortunate enough to spend two summers of my life staying with a family in France- near the western coast- It was amazing- i became very close to them and their three daughters became like sisters for me. the second time when i went back i took my own sister with me and we traveled all over the country. i will never forget the memories of those trips- some of the best summers of my life. my french family came here to celebrate my wedding. although now we mostly communicate with letters- they are still very dear to me and i hope that someday i will get to see them again even though as the years pass my french gets rustier and rustier!!
here's mine...

I took four years of French in high school and two years in college. I would like to learn Italian.
I took two years of Latin and two years of Spanish. I took Latin only because my sister told me it was too hard and I'd probably flunk it. I found it easy. I remember my first lesson. "Britania es insula. Insula Britania es." Britain is an island. An island is Britain. I doubt there anything else I can remember about Latin.

I did take Spanish in school. I am good enough to where I can translate it into English but I suck at speaking it. Mostly I think because I am southern and with my accent, Spanish just sounds retarded so I don't even try and go there, lol.
