Question 132 ~ Shopping

What do you remember about shopping with your mother?

HAHA OMG tough one for me.  I do not wish to hurt my mother's feelings but I hated shopping with her. No matter what I liked she hated.. what she liked I hated.  This was school shopping.  There was no compromising with her. It was her way or no way.. same with shopping for my wedding dress (the first one) Although I finally said I hated the one I wanted which suddenly she liked.. oh the games that had to be played that time...

We went furniture shopping together once..shortly after I moved out.  I was paying so she really had no say.. but you'd have thought we were either shopping for herself or she was buying it.  It was a horrible experience.

Now every now and then we go grocery shopping together.  I try and stay away from her .. unless I'm helping HER shop and not shopping myself.  But she will still come up to my cart and say "why are you getting that?" "this would be better" ... AHHHHH nope shopping with mom isn't fun. My dad... well he was different.. but I rarely got to go shopping with JUST him.  She knew we'd come home with what I wanted.. what I liked and more.  My dad spoiled me and it showed. Although now a days he does do the "this would be cheaper" at the grocery store.  Oh what fun!

You know how this goes.. either answer in the comment section or your own journal.  If answering in your own journal make sure you link back so we can read your answer.

I'd like tosay

Well I decided before my mini "vacation" ha.. to clean up my side bar and the journal links.  I need to delete the journals that aren't there anymore.. the ones I don't read or have went private...

So if you're on my sidebar and wish not to be let me know so I can respect you and take you off there.  If you are NOT on my sidebar and you know I read you (well I haven't been commenting much lately) or even if I don't read you (I may not know of you yet lol) and you want to be there leave your link.

Just doing a little journal cleaning.

PS. This is a duplicate post as I'm posting it in all my journals.

Question 131

Where is a favorite family spot to visit?

Well this question I wasn't sure if it meant my family (mom and dad etc) or my now family. So I guess I can go either way... or both

Growing up we always rented a cabin or pitched a tent at our favorite lake up north.  We'd stay for a week or two... sometimes we'd go for a weekend here and that.

Me and my kids love Como zoo.  It's open year round.. even though most of the animals aren't out during the cold months and when they are inside it's hard to see.  We still love to go there.  There is a bigger zoo with more animals.. more shows etc.  But I still prefer the smaller zoo.  After so many trips there I feel we've gotten to know our favorite animals.  Like the polar bear.. he swims in a huge circle half under water half out... he goes right up to the glass where you can actually sit and watch and he pushes his big ol' paws off the window.  I know it's actually not health .. that he does that because he's in such a small place and not out in the wild.. but I figure he's been there so long .. would he even know what to do in the wild anymore.

Me and the kids used to spend many hours at the library they actually were very well behaved there and knew they had to use their inside voices.  They enjoy books as much as mom.  We'd get "lost" there at the library. :)

Those are the two favorite spots for us to go.  And I threw the childhood one in for good measures.

Now it's your turn and you all should know how this works.. you can answer in the comment section here or your own journal but be sure to leave a link so we can all read your answer. Also if this is your first time here let me know I love to welcome the new people.

It's Monday.. I'm really worn out but I have until Midnight to post a question.  So since my friends wore me out this weekend. And they just left.. I'm going lay down for a bit.. relax and return ..

Thought I'd let you know I didn't forget my promise ;)

Three is enough! :)

Okay even if only three people answered my question... that's good enough for me. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't putting myself out there and no one wanted to "play along"

So be warned I will begin again Monday.

Have  a great weekend everyone.

My visiting friends are leaving Sunday so I'll be busy with them plus getting some rest.

Luv,
Promise

PS. My birthday is this week. Yep I'll be 30 again! ;)

Hello

I was just wondering if anyone is still interested in participating in this Journal jar.  I am figuring out if I should start it back up again or just close it for good.  I am feeling better so I thought if there are people still interested I'd begin again on Monday. I do it in a notebook and hope my children will read them someday and learn more about their mom.. Naturally my answers in the notebook are longer and more detailed. (if you can imagine that lol).. I hope people still want to participate!!

Leave a comment or email me.

Thanks...
